Program Consulting

Training, Inc. has 30 years of practical, real-world experience in a variety of settings to apply to the challenges of effective program design, employer and community partnerships, and quality results. If your organization is committed to helping unemployed and under-employed individuals improve their lives through better jobs, we offer these services:

- Program design assistance that integrates the “culture of work” with technical skill development, for better placement and retention results

- Employer partnership assistance with strategies for volunteer engagement, internships, financial support, and increased employer involvement that will strengthen results

- Planning for increased performance, through a focused use of participant and outcome data and reflective or consensus building processes for staff

Consulting services typically begin with an Essential Practices Audit  – a three-hour self-assessment and planning workshop to identify areas of program strength and to target areas for focused work.   The audit is built around Training, Inc.’s three core strategies: workplace simulation, employer partnerships, and learning organization.

Sample Consulting Projects:  Through a grant from the John Merck Fund, Training, Inc. has assisted several Northeast organizations with program design and employer partnership development. Organizations include the International Institute of Rhode Island in Providence and the New Hampshire African Community Center in Manchester.
