Training, Inc. is committed to providing a measured, quantifiable impact, and we support this through tracking of graduate performance and employer feedback. Our affiliates benefit from a regular information exchange that leads to constant improvement in programs and processes.
Our results to date:
Training: More than 18,000 unemployed and underemployed persons have completed training, at an 80% or better program completion rate.
Job Placement: More than 85% of program graduates have found employment.
Wage Growth: We're moving unemployed and underemployed individuals into living wage jobs with average annual starting salaries that range from $20,800 to $28,000 (depending on region and program). Follow-up studies show that after 12 to 18 months, salaries have risen by 15%.
Job Retention: 80% of employed graduates remain employed after one year.
Research: For over 30 years Training, Inc. has delivered measurable program results that have earned recognition as a best practice provider. The U.S. Department of Labor and the National Association of Counties recognized Training, Inc.'s programs in the 1980's for exemplary performance.
Independent third-party research projects funded by the Ford Foundation in the early 1990's and more recently by the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation have confirmed Training, Inc.'s high success rates.
The Mott Foundation's Sectoral Employment Development Project tracked the progress of graduates from the PC Troubleshooting program of the Essex County College Training, Inc. in Newark from 1998 to 2000. Two years after the project, 86% of the graduates were still employed, earning an average of $14.49 per hour. An additional 4% were pursuing higher education.
